We offer a unique opportunity to spend an unforgettable weekend with us participating in the "Discovering Canada" program from 28 to 30 January 2011.

Our program offers English language immersion with professional coaching from foreign and Russian tutors in various forms:

• Slideshow “Visiting Ottawa, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal…”
• Communicative lessons providing the most effective methods of teaching of the English language based on the modern video and audio courses.
• Stimulating interactive Canadian interest clubs
• An unforgettable theatre performance “Canadian Theatre” together with the Canadian Symphony Orchestra
• Role play “Indian Treasure Hunting”
• Visiting Canadian parks

The recreation center is located in the picturesque countryside of the campus “Skazka” near Volzsky. The center provides a complete package ensuring you have all you need for an enjoyable weekend: accommodation in renovated residences, high quality meals, and excellent facilities for sports events and entertainment.

A short summary of Canadian clubs:

1. Celebrities Club

Meeting Canadian celebrities in various fields, their biographies, their contribution to development of the culture, amazing facts of their lives. Discussion on multiculturalism and its influence on the development of the country.

2. Canadian Stage Club

An overview of Canadian Theatre and show business. Development of both acting and leadership skills. Presentation of the author’s version of a famous theatre performance.

3. Sport Club

Study of the most popular kinds of sport in Canada, such as ice hockey, Lacrosse, curling, Canadian football, basketball, baseball. Making a unique program of sports competitions to prepare for the Winter Olympic Games.

4. Canadian English Club

Study of peculiarities of Canadian variant of the English language and its difference from other variants of English. Comparison between British, American and Canadian English. Pronunciation of Canadian English. Students will receive a certificate after passing a mini-test.

5. Movie Club

Films about Canada, communicative tasks, based on the most effective teaching methods, exciting movie discussions.

Exciting communication only in English in the enjoyable atmosphere of unexpected discoveries won’t leave you disappointed. Meeting the Canadian Beaver and a hot cup of tea with maple syrup on a wonderful winter evening will leave an unforgettable impression.
